Free parking is available in our parking lot at the corner of Dove and Elk Street. On the weekend, there is plenty of free parking available on the adjacent streets.
To make the most of your visit, learn about our collections and current exhibitions and plan which things you would most like to see.
All visitors, including groups of art students, are permitted to sketch in the galleries of The Albany Institute of History of Art in pencil only. If individuals need to sharpen their pencils, they must use their own boxes to collect the shavings.
The use of pens, oil paints, easels, or watercolors is not allowed.
