Musical Instrument Donation Collection - In Partnership with Vanguard, Albany Symphony Orchestra
Donate a used musical instrument, get free museum admission!
Albany Institute of History & Art is partnering with Vanguard, Inc., the volunteer supporters of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, in a used musical instrument donation drive benefiting local K-12 students in need. To date, nearly one thousand instruments have been collected and distributed to young musicians attending schools across 16 Capital Region districts whose families struggle to purchase or rent the instruments required for students to participate in the school orchestra or band.
Bring in your used musical instruments to the museum between 1–4PM on Saturday, December 14 and receive complimentary admission to the galleries. For questions or more information, please contact Jill Rifkin, Vanguard's Instruments for Students program manager, at (518) 439-1843 or jrrif@aol.com.
Vanguard cannot accept pianos, ukuleles, harps, banjos, guitars, or electric keyboards.
