Family Free Day

Albany Institute of History & Art is open this Presidents' Day and visitors of all ages are invited to Family Free Day! Enjoy free gallery admission to visit our current exhibitions: Americans Who Tell the Truth, Portrait Pairings, featuring several U.S. presidents, and Enchanting Threads: The Art of Salley Mavor, in addition to selections from the museum's permanent collection, including Ancient Egypt and the Hudson River School.

 

Live Music by JoAnn Sifo in the main atrium

This Family Free Day includes a special folk music performance by JoAnn Sifo from 1–2:30PM.

A New York State Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee and dubbed by WEXT as "NYS Mother of Bluegrass," JoAnn has performed across the country with her band, Dyer Switch Band, for many years. JoAnn's original songs have charted Top 20 on Sirius Radio and European Country Music charts. Dyer Switch Band has been nominated by Eddy Awards and NECMA Awards.  JoAnn is currently performing solo with her original material, which includes a variety of music genres.
