This series of three workshops explores the process of on-the-go drawing, painting, and journaling, to promote mindful encounters with nature that encourage environmental awareness, historical knowledge, and respect for civics. Introducing each workshop with a brief PowerPoint slideshow, McElhinney will unpack new sets of concepts and methods through practical demonstration, followed by questions-and-answers.
Open to all ages 16 and above. No prior artistic training required. A list of suggested supplies will be sent to all who register. Anything that makes a mark and any surface that takes a mark are suitable to use.
Participants may sign up for workshops individually or the entire series.
