Hardymon Director of the Clark Art Institute Olivier Meslay will discuss their summer 2018 exhibitions.
The Clark Art Institute’s summer season kicks off with the opening of two exhibitions rooted in late nineteenth-century France, Women Artists in Paris, 1850–1900 and The Art of Iron: Objects from the Musée Le Secq des Tournelles, Rouen, Normandy. On June 30, the Clark opens its first-ever video exhibition, Jennifer Steinkamp, and on July 1 A City Transformed: Photographs of Paris, 1850-1900 celebrates the beauty of old wrought iron collected largely during the late nineteenth century, a period of rapid modernization in France and Europe.
