Tammis K. Groft, Executive Director, Albany Institute of History & Art
In the year 1791 George Washington was President of the United States, the Bill of Rights was ratified, and a small group of people gathered to found the Society for the Promotion of Agriculture, Arts, and Manufactures. With seven homes and six official name changes the Albany Institute of History & Art has shared its collections with nine generations of New Yorkers. Groft will illuminate how the Institute has responded to and evolved with our changing nation.
