In this three-day drop-off program students will be inspired by images on view in our current exhibition, Captured Moments:170 Years of Photography from the Albany Institute. We’ll look take a close look at the photographs on view and then see how we can change them in the studio. Young artists will experiment with scratching techniques on their replicas of the photographs creating line and texture. Images will also be altered through hand coloring, and collage, and image transfers will copy the pictures onto new formats. These fun and funky newly re-designed pictures will then be assembled into an artist’s book.
