Docents
Find Out More
Albany Institute of History & Art offers a robust docent program, which includes training and continued education for all members of this team. Docents will be the lead educators in the galleries and for all our visitors. They will conduct tours of the permanent collections and special exhibitions, along with leading programs for pre-k to twelfth grade students, college students, adults, and family programs. All docents will participate in regular training sessions that cover curator tours of new exhibitions to best practices of giving a tour.
The Albany Institute's next docent training session will be held in the Fall of 2025. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a docent, contact Megan Brown, Director of Education, at brownm@albanyinstitute.org.
